I moved to Thorner in 2003 and have been a Parish Councillor since 2005. I am now retired and my past work career was in the Insurance sector.
I enjoy being involved with local groups and residents working on village projects, i.e. Boule Piste, Gardens, Ford, Sam Sykes. I am currently a member of The Quarry Group project on Church Hill which aims to preserve the geological and historical heritage for the village and the Elmet Greenway Group to help promote safe cycling, walking and horse riding routes linking local villages to Crossgates. I am also a member of PPG committee to Collingham and Thorner Surgery which meets regularly, the Group helps the practice to develop services that reflect what patients need and want.
My hobbies and activities include cycling, walking the dog, gardening and working my allotment.
Diane is on the Planning, Gardens, Highways and Finance working parties.
